Information on conformity under the Accessibility Act
Accessibility Statement
Everyone should be able to use products and services without restrictions, for example, via digital channels such as online banking, our website, or self-service devices. This is called barrier-free use. The rules for this are set out in a law. In Austria, the law is called the Accessibility Act (Barrierefreiheitsgesetz), abbreviated to BaFG.
We want to ensure that all of our products and services covered by the BaFG are barrier-free.
Requirements for the digital accessibility of our services
We adhere to the requirements of these norms and standards:
- European Standard 301 549 – Accessibility of information and communication technology
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 according to the requirements of level AA
WCAG Principles and Guidelines
Perceptibility
- Alternative Text
If content is not displayed as text (images, graphics), we provide alternative text with a description. - Time-based media
We ensure that users can access our content even if they cannot hear or see it – for example, audio, video and multimedia content. - Customized content
Where possible, we create our content in a variety of formats to ensure that no information is lost – for example, readable by screen readers, with a Braille display for blind and visually impaired people, or in plain language. - Possibility of differentiation
We design the content to make it easier to see and hear. We try to clearly separate the foreground and background.
Usability
- Operation via keyboard
We design the functions so that users can operate them with the keyboard. - Users’ time to read content
Our content is structured so that users have enough time to read and use the content. - Seizures and physical reactions
We develop our content so that it doesn’t trigger seizures or other physical reactions in sensitive users. For example, we avoid flashing images or videos that trigger epileptic seizures. - Navigation
We design the navigation to make it easy for users to find their way around. They should know where they are and how to move around efficiently. - Entry options
We design the input so that users can easily control complex functions using the input pointer.
Understandability
- Readability
We write texts in understandable language and use an appropriate font size. - Predictability
We design content and user interfaces to be easy to use. This means that the navigation and help functions are always located in the same place. - Assistance with input
We design our content to minimize user input errors as much as possible. Should an input error occur, we provide assistance to correct it.
Robustness
- Compatibility
We design the content so that it can be used with various Internet browser programs and assistance systems.
